Visa applications from November 1
Peru’s consulate in Caracas will resume receiving and processing applications for tourism visas and other immigration categories from November 1, 2026. Receiving an application does not mean a visa has been approved: confirm the applicable requirements and procedure with the consulate.
Services that remained available
According to the Foreign Ministry, passport issuance, national ID applications, civil registration, public deeds, official visas and consular assistance continued without interruption under Brazil’s protection since September 2024. These should not be presented as services only restarting in November.
Reported location and hours
The release says the same address and hours remain: Monday to Friday, 08:30–13:00 and 14:00–16:00. November 1 is a Sunday: the resumption date does not announce in-person service that Sunday. Confirm the submission channel and instructions before visiting.
Context of this guide
The bilateral agreement released in July proposed gradual normalization, starting with consular relations, following the 2024 crisis. October’s announcement specifies services at Peru’s consulate in Caracas; it does not by itself confirm a general reopening of embassies or Venezuelan services in Peru.
