Qatar Airways anunció oficialmente el inicio de sus operaciones hacia Bogotá (BOG) y Caracas (CCS) a partir del 22 de julio de 2026. Es un hito para la industria: la compañía qatarí se convertirá en la primera aerolínea del Golfo en servir a Venezuela y la primera en operar vuelos directos desde Asia Occidental hacia ambas capitales simultáneamente.

La ruta operará dos veces por semana — miércoles y domingos — utilizando aeronaves Boeing 777-200LR, reconocidas por su autonomía y su configuración de cabina de clase mundial.

- Bogotá (BOG) → Caracas (CCS): salida 17:35 — llegada 20:40.
- Caracas (CCS) → Doha (DOH): salida 22:40 — llegada 19:55 del día siguiente (operación de retorno sin escalas hacia Qatar).
Destino 15 y 16 en las Américas
Con estas nuevas incorporaciones — que representan los destinos número 15 y 16 de la aerolínea en el continente americano — Qatar Airways busca capturar la demanda de pasajeros que requieren conexiones fluidas hacia mercados de alto impacto en el Hemisferio Este.
Según el comunicado oficial de la aerolínea: “Esta expansión subraya nuestro compromiso de fortalecer los lazos con América Latina, ofreciendo a los viajeros de Colombia y Venezuela acceso directo a nuestra red de más de 160 destinos a través del Aeropuerto Internacional de Hamad.”
Conexiones que abre la ruta
Los pasajeros podrán conectar de forma eficiente hacia destinos clave como Sídney, Shanghái, Tokio, Beirut, Seúl y Dubái, optimizando los tiempos de traslado que tradicionalmente requerían múltiples escalas en hubs europeos o norteamericanos.
