Qué está cambiando
La nueva política aplica únicamente a las rutas hacia/desde Venezuela y depende de dos fechas clave: cuándo se emitió tu boleto y cuándo viajas.
1. Boletos emitidos antes del 30 de abril de 2026
Si compraste tu boleto antes del 30 de abril de 2026, mantienes la primera maleta documentada sin costo, sin importar la fecha de tu viaje.
2. Boletos emitidos a partir del 30 de abril, vuelo antes del 1 de julio de 2026
Si compras tu boleto el 30 de abril de 2026 o después y vuelas antes del 1 de julio de 2026, también conservas la primera maleta sin costo.
3. Boletos emitidos a partir del 30 de abril, vuelo desde el 1 de julio de 2026
A partir del 1 de julio de 2026, los pasajeros con boletos emitidos desde el 30 de abril de 2026 deberán pagar las nuevas tarifas por equipaje documentado.
¿Qué debo hacer?
- Si tienes viaje planeado a Venezuela, considera emitir tu boleto antes del 30 de abril de 2026 para asegurar la maleta gratis.
- Revisa la fecha exacta de tu vuelo: si es antes del 1 de julio de 2026, sigues cubierto bajo la política anterior.
- Para vuelos a partir del 1 de julio de 2026 con boletos nuevos, presupuesta el costo adicional del equipaje.

What's changing
The new policy applies only to routes to/from Venezuela and depends on two key dates: when your ticket was issued and when you fly.
1. Tickets issued before April 30, 2026
If you bought your ticket before April 30, 2026, you keep your first checked bag for free, regardless of your travel date.
2. Tickets issued on or after April 30, flying before July 1, 2026
If you buy your ticket on April 30, 2026 or later and fly before July 1, 2026, you also keep your first checked bag for free.
3. Tickets issued on or after April 30, flying on or after July 1, 2026
Starting July 1, 2026, passengers with tickets issued on or after April 30, 2026 will need to pay the new checked-baggage fees.
What should I do?
- If you're planning a trip to Venezuela, consider issuing your ticket before April 30, 2026 to lock in the free bag.
- Check your exact flight date — if it's before July 1, 2026 you're still covered under the previous policy.
- For flights on or after July 1, 2026 with new tickets, budget for the added baggage cost.
